ARRIS SE-7000 encoder ready for live HEVC requirements
Dim Nov 10 2013, 01:03
ARRIS is introducing the ARRIS SE-7000 encoder for HEVC encoding requirements.
The solution supports live HEVC streaming over the MPEG2 TS standard. It can simulcast both HEVC and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 streams along with integrated low-resolution picture-in-picture (PIP). It also supports IP and baseband SDI inputs. The SE-7000 is a fourth-generation video compression system based on the widely deployed ARRIS SE-6000 encoder.
“Service and content providers are focused on delivering HEVC this coming year, as bandwidth demands continue and UltraHD content services become more widely available,” says Bruce McClelland, President, Network & Cloud, Global Services, ARRIS. “We are working with our customers and are introducing the SE-7000 to provide the efficiency and performance they need to truly deliver customers their media, their way.”
